THE MAGICAL HISTORY OF FERRAGAMO SCARVES
The Silk exhibition project was created to explore of the world of creativity, craftsmanship and technology behind silk printing, production sector pride of Made in Italy, especially of Salvatore Ferragamo scarves. The exhibition is dedicated to Fulvia Ferragamo, Salvatore's daughter (who died prematurely in 2018), who was the first in the company to be interested in this magical world. In the 70s, she started the production of these accessories destined to become icons of the Ferragamo maison. The educational itinerary Silk, the magical history of Ferragamo scarves, designed for young and curious visitors, accompanies children to discover the history, culture, interpretations and thousand uses of silk accessories. Its square format makes the scarf just like a painting on which to represent reality and dreams, thanks to countless sources of inspiration. The publication is a support while visiting the museum and, at the same time, could be a useful tool for the remote activity together with the exhibition’s virtual tour. In addition, the book comes with an insert of stickers to be cut and glued in the appropriate spaces.
