On the occasion of Artigianato e Palazzo 2025, from 12 to 14 September, in Giardino Corsini, Fondazione Ferragamo hold a new series of workshops for kids from 6 to 12 years old and their families. The goal is to pass on to the new generations the main values of Made in Italy and of Salvatore Ferragamo’s work such as creativity, passion and craftsmanship, the courage of experimenting and determination of pursuing ones’ own dreams.

ATELIER SOSTENIBILE: LA SCARPA

After discovering the figure of Salvatore Ferragamo, the participants will be shown the steps to make a shoe and thei will be guided and encouraged to follow their creativity. The young shoemakers will create their own shoe using recycled materials working with a wooden last and patterns like the professionals in the sector.

Age: 6-9 years

FORME D’ARTISTA

Like artists, equipped with brushes and colours the kids will paint a wooden last, like the one used by the artisans to make shoes. This object, symbol of the work of Salvatore Ferragamo, becomes a starting point for the children’s creations.

Age: 6-9

ATELIER SOSTENIBILE: IL FOULARD

The participants will discover the delicate process of making a silk scarf, then they will receive a paper reproduction of a Ferragamo scarf to customize. The scarf becomes a blank canvas to decorate with the collage technique using recycled fabric and other materials.
